Just wrote a small blurb about our group and how the load was fairly important to us 16 gauge shooters that shoot clays. Told them I have bought over 30 flats and will buy more. An hour later they were restocked!

I'm still sitting on about 6-7 flats, but got nervous and with $5 shipping just ordered two more. Thanks for the heads up!

My local Cabelas has 3 flats of the 1 1/8oz 7.5. Is this overkill for skeet?

The recoil would be significant
Overkill??? Depends on the gun and skill Smile

Yesterday at the range I chronographed various rounds and shot a couple rounds of trap. I clocked Herters #8 Dove and Quail at 1155 fps at 3 ft. I did well at trap with it after I switched to full choke. If I pointed the gun in the right direction it obliterated the birds. IC resulted in a lot of chips and dusters. Maybe its supposed to be that way.

According to the MEC reloading cost calculator, a box of Herters from Cabelas (at the sale price) is over a buck cheaper than my reloading cost.

I'm glad the product is still available.

Thanks for the step by step instructions, but ammo items are flagged to not ship to Alaska, including in store pickup. If you look at the details of an ammo item, it will say it doesn't ship to Alaska.

I saw they posted a free shipping promotion. While I was thinking about what else I might want to order, the #8s disappeared. That will teach me.

Kind off the subject, but has anyone tested the pressures on these shells? Reason I ask is I do not worry about shooting them thru my M21 or my Fox or Parker, but what about a light English sidelock gun? Also worried about the recoil to these old stocks. Any thoughts...? My Model 21 I don't worry about but the rest well................

Just picked up a flat at Cabelas Rogers, Mn.
They had no single boxes and this was the only ones I saw in #8, but they had 1 ounce of #6 shot.
