The advantage to the term Prince of Wales grip is that it represents a very relaxed pistol grip, vs the more upright hand position of a full pistol grip. If you prefer to not use POW, which most people in the shotgun world understand, then you can use the term relaxed pistol grip. I'm a numbers kind of guy so if you want to represent pistol grips by the degrees between the long axis of the gun and middle of the angle of the pistol grip that would be great. This would put my guns at approximately 150 degrees of grip and a modern Italian target gun would have about 110 degrees. Then there would be no confusion, right?
