Off topic, but of interest I think to some here...

A change in personal habits revealed the need for a money clip. A little searching found the company referenced below. They had 12 ga but no 16, so I contacted them. They responded to my e mail within hours, saying they were just getting ready to offer the 16. They kept me informed, and when it was ready I ordered. Received shipping, tracking, and delivery notifications, and very happy with the price and product.

I have no personal financial interest in the product or company- just wanted to share with everyone a great experience with personal customer service that I rarely get anymore.

Mike

I wonder if they have one for Western Super X with an unfired primer.

Nice money clip, thanks Wingshooter.
On a side note, Wingshooter, what is all this empty space and stuff you have typed below all your posts? I'll replicate it below, but I'm just wondering why it's so important to you that you include it on every post you make-- what's it mean? Thx!

Hi Dave-

Many of the members list the 16 gauge guns they own, putting them at the bottom of their posts. Those are the model numbers and barrel specs (choke) of my two French guns. One has two sets of barrels, and I have another set of barrels in the white that may get fitted one day.

Hope that helps,

Mike

Mike, perhaps it would make more sense to Dave if you posted a picture or two of said MF Ideals. I think it unlikely any members here, who may have seen them before, tire of looking at beautiful 16 gauge guns.

BTW, good looking money clip.

On a different note, having sold 3 16 gauge guns in the last 3 weeks, I'm feeling naked. On the other hand, it frees me up to re-jigger the assortment and I already have a couple targets in mind. Damn this is addictive!

Dale, Gil sent me an e-mail....he doesn't want the Tolley anymore....send it to me! Laughing

James, I'm trying to figure out if having a 16 means you have money and need a money clip, or no longer have money and don't need one...

The top two 16's in this pic are mine, the bottom one I am trying to separate from its owner. Razz

Have you looked in the mirror lately?

I have, so close ups are generally to be avoided. Razz

How about these?

Got 'em on eBay years ago. Bought several for gifts, kept these. Top one is a tie clip with old Peters High Velocity 28 gauge heads. Bottom two are about the same kind of money clip as Mike displayed in the original post, but have two 16 gauge cartridge heads each. Picture might not show it, but the clips are chrome plated; heads are brass, of course. The Peters heads have the old copper colored original primers. The heads are mounted on a thin substrate piece between the clip and the rim/head. As mounted, the heads stand only about .080" proud of the clip surface, which is very nice and unobtrusive. The middle one is a pair of 16 gauge Winchester Super Speeds, and the bottom one is a pair of 16 gauge Peters High Velocitys. I use the Peters one a lot, and it is a little tarnished and darker at the moment, but it shines right up with a little cloth included with the clip. I talked to the guy before I bought these, and he'd make practically anything with a rifle or shotgun cartridge head -- money clips tie tacks, tie clips, ear rings, pins, belt buckles etc -- using any cartridge head he had, or you could supply. I offered to send him a pile of 12 and 28 gauge old Peters and Remington and some Winchester/Western stuff -- all from paper hulls of the 40's/50's, but he had plenty of those already. He said he removed the primer cups and pounded out the firing pin dents with a punch against a backup anvil of some kind, then re-installed them. Nice work. I have no idea how to get hold of this fellow now, as I bought these several years ago. Maybe he is still plying his wares on eBay; I haven't checked.
