I hope none of you think this is a political thread. It's not. I'm not endorsing anyone and I won't discuss it either.
It is a call to duty. All I'm asking you to do today is go and vote if you've not already. Thanks for doing so if you've already voted. 'Nough said. |

Please, if you are still undecided, don't vote, enough idiots voting as it is!

The ancient Greeks had a word for those who had the right to vote but did not, it was idiotos, from which the word idiot derives. Don't be an idiot, get out and vote.

Unless you have no clue who you are voting for, or why, or are an illegal alien.

I want to add that it certainly is a pleasure to know that I can come to this site and find "safe harbor" from the storm that has been going on for the last 18+ months.
Thanks to all,
Chuck |

And a fine day for voting despite the rain and gloom of a 0600 poll opening in Missouri. I think we still have a country this old war horse can recognize. |

Friends, I want to politely request that we respect the guidelines and stop the responses to this post while we're ahead. There's a reason political discussions have been essentially banned on this forum and it is one of my favorite things about this group. These are polarizing times and I work in a field that is closely tied to politics or at least their consequences. As some of you probably know, it is exhausting. I really look forward to leaving that behind for a little while every day or so when I check out all of the great pictures of your bird dogs and drool over your classic 16ga guns or read some helpful grouse hunting advice. |
