I wish to commend byrdog for the trimmer that he sells to members of this list.
His trimmer is an absolutely indispensable tool for 16ga reloaders. Careful trimming is often needed for producing good crimps and correct lengths on our many different 16ga hulls and loads, and byrdog's trimmer allows a degree of precision, flexibility, repeatability, and efficiency that is unmatched for this by other trimmers.

I use the trimmer manually instead of using a hand drill or press. Very little effort is needed to correctly trim even the heaviest plastic case by hand with the trimmer. I feel that I have better feel and more control over the blade in that manner, for safety, confidence and accuracy. Others may prefer a power tool for the task. It works well either way.

Along with trimming cases, byrdog's trimmer is ideal for trimming wads such as the BPI VP80. I am in the process of developing a 1 oz ITX load for 2 1/2" hulls, and the byrdog trimmer is useful, and maybe even essential, for shortening the VP80 to contain exactly 1 oz. of ITX. I expect to have a tested load shortly.

my trimmer sits right by the loaders and keeps all my 28's and 16's nicely groomed !! wouldn't leave home without it !
