Someone near me has quit reloading and there are some R16 wads available. What can these be used for? Do they only work in RGLs and AAcfs?
Thanks,
Jeff |

IMO, they don't work very well in hulls with larger capacities than WAA's & Rems.
Beyond using them as intended & since some 20ga wads w/the similar dia as the Rem wads fit in 16ga hulls the reverse is true that the Rem wads do fit in some 20ga hulls e.g. Fio's and Herters/Cheds on my bench. You could develop (if it hasn't been done) some 20ga data but one would ask why when there are so many good 20ga wads. My opinion would be to get them and use as intended in RGL hulls or sell or trade them for something you can use. |

There are people on ShotgunWorld.com and TrapShooter.com looking for Remington R16 Wads, so maybe you could trade from something more suited to what you want to do.

They are at my gun club, so let me check this week and see what's what with them. I have already absconded with 3,000 SG-16s from this windfall, so its not like I need wads desperately.
