Headed down to Texas tomorrow morning, 16ga dove hunt.
New Sweet 16 has not shown up in time, disappointing, but will manage to push on through it. |

Darn I miss not being able to hunt doves later in the year.
Best of luck to you
I lit them up in September with my 16 ga Merkel 147E. |

Had good dove trip in Hondo.
Used the Citori on whitewings, and the next morning (in 20-30mph wind) the Belgian Sweet 16 with the 22" barrels. (new sweet 16 sitting at the dealer's couldn't pick it up on time to take it with me)
The second morning was mostly mourning doves, as I nearly shot my limit before the white wings started flying. Little bit more challenging with the wind.
Fun times though. Would like to do that every year. |

Glad you were able to get some birds.
Today in NM went to Santa Theresa. Weather was drizzle and 42 degrees. Birds were flying. Had limits in 45 minutes. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
1 day left of dove season in NM. |
