I am looking at a used but in decent condition 16 gauge deerslayer,has sights,
smooth bore,any info on what the value would be appreciated...Thanks in advance |

If you have the serial number we can tell you a date of manufacture. As to value, no way to give an honest opinion without pictures. |

The way I look at it any more is: If I want the gun, it is in reasonable condition, no rust, everything functional, magazine, ejector, sights, stock, then it is worth $500.00.
I know there will be howls of derision, but that is my opinion. If the gun is worthy of me buying it, it is worth $500.00, or I damn well won't buy it.

Did you purchase the Deerslayer ? If not I have a Deluxe grade one. That means it has checkered wood and a pad installed. The Super Deluxes would have had a peep sight installed in addition to the Deluxe treatment. The gun is in pretty nice shape.
