My name is Jeff and I can't stop buying wads. In the last 7 days stumbled across 2 great opportunities. Last weekend I bought 3,000 SG16s and 750 DR16s for $70. I was about to pick up some SG16s from Ballistic Products anyway. Today one of the clubs I shoot at had a clearance sale. Wads for $3 a bag. I bought all 19 bags of DRXXL pinks (12 gauge 7/8 oz wads) and all 4 bags of Remington PT28s for $69.

We won't even discuss the PB powder for $125 per 8lb jug.
Happy New Year,
Jeff |

Well, I am trying to get rid of these wads as fast as I can, one at a time, out my barrel!

The only problem that I see is the same one that I have- a shortage of storage space. |

Exactly. I just had to buy a six shelf rack to hold just one bag of wads from each type I have. I've been loading since the '70's. Two shelves for 12 gauge, one for 16, two for 20, and the 28 and .410 share one. I have two large boxes and a pile for the backups.
Be careful it can get out of hand quickly., |

I've got the space to have it more organized. My garage is a little chilly this time of year which makes it tough to keep it tidy. I just have to reload more this winter.

I've got a closet in the man cave that used to be adequate for my reloading supplies and factory ammo. Now it only holds my factory ammo and the hulls and wads I am currently working on. All of my excess wads and hulls are now on shelves hogging a wall in the furnace room. The other I heard the "guilt commander" grumbling about the cluttered state of the furnace room... |

Jeff - you are just getting started. I rent a storage unit for that kind of stuff. |

I bought a case each of Claybuster 16 gauge wads in 1 oz and 7/8 oz, then started shooting Cabelas Herters shells for around $5 a box. It's hard to get excited about reloading again, but I am saving the hulls. |
