Hey guys,
That new A5 Sweet 16 looks really nice, all the ones that have showed up on the site here. It brings a question to mind for the owners, maybe they can answer best, so here goes.

Is the Recoil Pad on the gun adjustable in any way? Does it take shims or adjust cant, etc.?

I really like the look of those guns, but I think they would look really classic if you had the old White Line pachmyer on there....I don't usually go for pads anyway, but since there is one on the gun already, seems like it wouldn't be unreasonable....

Thinking of getting one, but wondering about changing out the pad.

Its a wood stock, so presume any competent gunsmith could put on a new pad for you. Guess that's what makes the world go around, but I think white line spacers are butt ugly.

I'd go for the all black BPS style recoil pad even...I just can't get on board with the squared off look of the factory one.

I may replace mine, (once I get my hands on it) guessing from my new A-5 12ga, it is about 1/8" too long.

The thing I love about these A5's as far as the pad goes, is Browning has threaded metal sleeves in the butt stock so taking the pad on and off does not chew up the wood. If having it shortened for some reason I'd really suggest staying with the threaded sleeves.

I added threaded sleeves on my' 77 Light 12 Auto-5. It had a pad on when I got it, but was hammered out, gun was perfect otherwise. Those threaded inserts are the best things ever if your putting on or replacing a pad.

Has anyone had the stock bent for more cast off? The shims don't give me enough adjustment.
