| It looks like you are set in the position for 3" shells judging by the photos of the presses and the shells. See how the Sizemaster is set and compare it to the 600. They should use the same combination of hole positions. |

| Is that a spacer I see under the primer seating assembly? Or are the new ones built that way? My presses are anything but brand new and I know Mec changes thing once in a while. |

Bottom hole in the base.
Bottom threaded hole in the column. The silver rod is pointing to to correct threaded hole. |

Who knows, I may get through Sheridan again someday. I hunted sharp tails and huns up there a few times many years ago at a place I will just abbreviate as "W.Ck." You probably know where.
How was the blue grouse hunting in the Big Horns this past season? I have put some serious thought into dragging the camper somewhere up that way next fall when all three seasons overlap. |

Boy, you are right about that! Was working with my 28ga 9000G over the holidays and realized that my MEC 3/4 oz bar was only dropping about 5/8 oz!!! No wonder my Fiocchis always had a dished crimp!
Took a tapered reamer and gradually opened the bottom of the bar until it threw 3/4 oz of hardened #8, adjusted the pre-crimp, and now my crimps are perfect. |

| can't really pick out the shoulder cam . The little triangle , it's just a hex one screw adj and if you drop it a little , may fix you right up . Slide it yp the left . |

The blue grouse season was good, but the birds were in different areas as in the past. I had them all to myself once I figured them out. Feel free to send me a message if you are going to be in the area next season. |

I'm glad the OP got his crimps right. I am not too bright so I A) don't see a spacer at the primer station and B) what would the primer station have to do with crimps?

I inserted the spacer pictured below under the primer station like the picture in the manual, but it is for reloading 3" shells. I don't know why they would include a 3" spacer for a 16 gauge loader, but that's a question for another day. With the spacer installed, the handle wouldn't travel all of the way down because the primer seating die was bottoming out.
Typical boneheaded move by yours truly...

| If the shot doesn't fall out and the hull doesn't open up by itself the crimp is doing it's job. The rest is just aesthetics. |
