January 19, 1967, fifty years ago today I held up my right hand and swore to defend the United States of America and it's Constitution as an enlisted member of the United States Marine Corps. Funny how the years have slipped away.

Hi AM:
Congratulations from one former Marine to another! Time sure does go by and I rarely think about the places and friends of old. It will be 65 years since I was sworn in this August. Regards
Art

Happy Anniversary, AM, and thanks to all of you for serving our country! I am not a veteran, but my father and uncles served in WWII, and I'm always humbled by knowing all of you veterans and current members have stepped up for all of us.

Drafted, July, 1970 U.S. Army. Boot camp July and Aug. Fort Lost in the Woods, Mo. Hot and humid with new fatigues. Didn't take long at marching for them to get wet.
But we were tougher then.
Very Happy Very Happy

This thread tells me two things.
We are all getting old. And there doesn't seem to be many youngsters taking over the sport of shotgunning.
