Yes! A great THANK YOU to all who have served! I have not. My father was a Marine in WW2 and went into all that ugly Sh-- in the pacific theatre. He was at many of the beach landings. I don't even want to think about how bad those were!

This post made me think 24 January 1987 I joined New Hampshire ArmyNational Guard. I retired in March 2007 from the New Jersey Army National Guard. Hard to believe it's been 30 years. |

You guys make me feel like a youngster! I joined the Navy in the delayed enlistment program during my senior year of high school. After graduating on 5/20/1979 I reported for boot camp on the 30th and turned 18 in boot camp 3 weeks later.
I was injuring in a motorcycle accident during my enlistment and given a medical retirement in 1983. Then I had to go to work in the real world! I often kick myself for messing up a good thing. |
