Here you can find some 2.5 inch loads you might adapt: http://www.16ga.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=75891&highlight=#75891

Note you will find some individuals saying it is hard to fit a 1 oz load into a 2.5 inch 16 Cheddite!! In fact it is quite easily done, and in the good old days, there were even 1-1/8 ounce lead loads from all US manufacturers in the 2-9/16 inch hull (2.5625 -- 65mm is 2.559), and that was with hulls of less capacity than today's Cheddites.

Maximumsmoke. Thanks for the insight into roll crimpers. I have had the BPI roll crimper for several years. Just put in an order from Precision for one of their roll crimpers, since I needed a few other things. I did not know about Precision Reloading until I started looking on the 16 ga site. I enjoy the roll crimping, just for entertainment and I like the look of the finished product when all goes well. I found a large supply of Alcan and Winchester nitro, blue streak and fiber wads at an antique store a while ago. When I go to the clubs to shoot skeet and trap, most everyone knows I shoot a 16. I like to be a little different than everyone else. The majority of my loads are plastic wad/pie crimped, but, I enjoy seeing the reaction to the small amount of confetti that results from the roll crimped loads with a plastic wad and the much larger amount when I use the card/fiber wads. I don't shoot any leagues, the skeet and trap are just for fun, so I don't get harsh comments, however, one of the more serious trap shooters told me he was "unnerved" by the cloud of paper in the air when I was shooting next to him. Very Happy

Thanks Smoke , I have plenty of data for 2.5" - 2 9/16' plastic . Dave Miles gave me quite a few loads for paper hulls also.

I was curious if anybody else has some actual tested data for these paper hulls .

If these hulls are anything like the 20-gauge paper hulls that BP offers, they're not worth the trouble. About half the 20-gauge hulls I tried split down the side on the first firing. I tried them in four different 20-gauge barrels just in case there was an oversize chamber, and the cases still split.

Loaded up 5 of the paper cheddites, shot them each 4 times, they all split on the 4th load. I'm happy with that.

My stash of 400 just came in today. Thanks for the heads-up on these... I don't usually check the BPI site so I doubt I would have known about them if it were not for this thread.

Now to look at some load data that looks promising with Green Dot or Unique.
