While I didn't send that PM, the more I think about this the less I think of it.

Jake, did you originally ask about different components for the 16 as in maybe you understand data management but don't really understand reloading in general and 16 Gauge reloading specifically?

I am still around here too. I just don't post much. I am waiting for a 31L to show up for sale on here.

I would like to see what you came up with

Here is a new group for reloading. The gentleman that has a better spreadsheet can post his spreadsheet out here for all to see. If you all like it better, good. As I stated before I'm ready to go onto other things. It is public and can be joined by anyone without approval.

Oh probably so. I am a novice reloader for sure. I spend about 25% of my working life in spreadsheets. I am no spreadsheet expert but I do have a pretty good handle on it.

I would rather appreciate if this thread died. I really wish that I never even spent the time putting it together in the first place. Even before this thread I would get random PM's asking for the spreadsheet (I know these are well intentioned). Now not surprisingly I have gotten a few more requests. Then I get comments/messages about stealing spreadsheets and loads. Then oldhunter wants me to be the grand caretaker of the reloading group.

I come on 16ga to see whatever unique 16s other guys are shooting or buying. I come on here to read stories of quail and bird dogs. I come on here because generally this is the most well behaved hunting/shooting forum on the web. Whenever this topic comes up I feel like I am in the middle of a fight I have no knowledge of, nor dog in, and yet I am the center of it.

If someone else is good with google sheets, understands filter views, and organization they can easily make the same spreadsheet I did, probably a bit better. Then my advice would be to just keep the sheet to yourself and use it.

I didn't want to reply, but I will. I never cared where you got your information rfor your spreadsheet. I just thought that maybe you would be interested in taking over for me. You said no. That I can understand. It is a lot of work. There seemed to be some interest in your spreadsheet so I created another site where you can post your spreadsheet. We are interested. It is public so anybody can join, even those from China or North Korea. Probably Russians now.
As you don't seem like you want to share it, so be it. I am chaning how I do it now. No more updating in both Open office and excel. Now only excel. That will cut down on the time. No more buying powders or hulls to check out new loads that members have listed. There are a few I haven't posted as I did not think much of them when I used them Mostly low pressure loads. When members complained about some of BPI's loads I sent some in for testing. No more. I will admit a couple were terrible. They are gone from BPI's books.
That last hulls I bought I did use them and test some loads for a member that asked me about them. I also loaded up some one oz steel loads I'm sending in for testing. That is because members were asking about them. I took this serious. Maybe everybody doesn't care. As far as what I shoot myself. I have two new inertia driven shotguns a 12 gauge and a 20 gauge. No not Browning. The only Browning I bought was 1911.
Anyway the site is out there. You can upload your spreadsheet if you want. Nobody is asking you to take over running anything..

I, for one, would like to see it.

Back in the early 90's I assembled the original 16 gauge reloading spreadsheet from all available sources and published it with attributions and provided copies to anyone who asked for it.

When Russ Gray was starting the 16 gauge reloading group, I sent him a copy of the file, but I did not incorporate any the 16 Gauge Reloading group data because it was 'private', and I intended to make the data I had public. I did not join the 16 gauge group.

The intent that I had was always to share the data, not try to make a nickel off of it.

One of my last answers. apparently the spreadsheet I started from was chuckermans.I got it off of my brothers computer when he passed. I thought I could update it. This is where we ended up. My only reason for staying on the forum has been 16 gauge guy. My brother thought he was the biggest ass in the world. I thought he was the second biggest ass in the world. For all you new members you would have to go back many years. It's been fun, enjoy the spreadsheets and wonder what happened years ago. That's when it was fun. Post some more stupid posts 16 gauge guy. I won't be reading them anyway. I've wanted to get this off of my chest for years. I hope the members that were kicked off can see this somehow.
