Dug through a pile of junk, but all I can find are Fiocchi recipes. 2.5" Cheddites weren't readily available 20 years ago.....sorry
I'll gladly share them w/ you if you like.
I have a new bag of primed hulls, a bunch of 2 & 3 time fired hulls and a bag of SG20 short wads you can have for the price of shipping. |

2.5" Fiocchi hull, Fio 616 primer, 16.0 grs 800X, SG20 short wad. 1oz lead, 10,500 psi @ 1190fps. When I used the recipe I only loaded 7/8oz. Also experimented w/ 3/4 oz and only 15grs powder. Might of needed a dog kibble and a over shot card.....can't remember.
2.5" Fio hull, Fio 616 primer, 16.0 grs Unique, SG20 S, 3/4oz lead. 8300 psi @ 1175 fps
2.5" Fio hull, Fio 616 primer, 18.5 grs Herco, SG20S wad, 7/8oz lead, 8900 psi @ 1210 fps. This was my favorite, especially for Doves.
These are published loads from BP, so be prepared to take some grief from others here if you choose to use them. I also substituted Win 209's for the 616 Fiocchi's to see if I had incomplete powder burns or "felt" less recoil. My guns were from the late 1920's so I figured I could experiment a bit, a Parker and a Fox.
Good Luck |
