I came on a bunch of Estate Hulls w/paper base wads. FREE Do they load same as Federal w/paper BW. If so then I can use the same recipes?
Also in the windfall I got @ 100 Fiocchi hulls???? I only shoot Steel shot since I work for the USFWS. Any one got any load recipes they would like to share with me? Otherwise I have no idea what to do with them. I belong to the Yahoo UK Group and I found a few loads there but they are somewhat on the high pressure side for me. Any help would be appreciated.

The Estate hull with the paper basewad is the Federal hull.
The reloading data is the same. |

From Federal concerning estate hulls

to me
We use both paper and plastic base wads. It all depending on the hull design and intend use of shell. We have done this for several years.

OH , I believe what they told you is true except for : I think they are leaning toward the plastic BW case , and I know many may not agree , but I WANT the paper basewads . If I want plastic , I'll buy something else . As Mike C noticed , plastic is infiltrating all the gauges , not to my liking ! |

The older Estate hulls that were made by Estate in Willis, Texas were Cheddite hulls, back then they were a smaller producer and bought their hulls from Cheddite. When ATK/ Federal bought them out the plan was supposed to be Estate would be their economy line of shells, using the Federal paper base wad hulls to compete with Remington's Sportsman and Winchesters Universal/Expert line of shells.
Honestly with these newer cheaper hulled Federal loads they are producing now I don't know if there is a plan anymore. |
