Yes, lots of discussion on the Fox site.
Consensus is that it is an RBL with Fox profiling. No original Fox features at all. ie: Anson push rod fore end latch, no rib extension, totally different inner workings.
To be offered only in 12 and 20.
I said it there. I have an RBL 16. I like it enough. Would I like it more if it looked like a Fox? Maybe, but I like my 16 gauge Fox guns better, that is for sure. |

I understand the economics etc, but I am so tired of gunmakers producing guns with respected names but none of the design qualities that made them so respectable. B.S.

Wonder where they are made? Looks like a standard throughbolt Anson & Deeley boxlock. The wrist looks quite beefy - no AH Fox handling there. That may be a tough price point to sell a hunting shotgun at.

Looks like a nice, American made gun. I think it's great to see someone coming out with a new gun that's not a 3.5 inch camo semi-auto with tactical rails.
Is it a Fox? No, but it's wood and blue and a SxS. If the name helps them sell a few more SxS I'd call it a win. |

The borrowing of illustrious names is a time honored tradition among shotgun makers. Ithaca did much the same with their Lefever Nitro Special almost 100 years ago. I wish the best of luck to Savage, and to any other intrepid business that dares to venture into the murky economics of side by side shotgun making. |

Nice looking shotgun, but at $5,000.00 a pop, they are not going to be flying off the shelf.
Guess it doesn't do much for us 16ga folks anyway.
Always enjoy looking at beautiful shotguns, no matter the gauge!

For $5,000.00, they ought to be!

Curious how it's known that they'll be made by Galazan? |

Are there any new American made 16s to be bought? At any price point?
I'd be willing to save up. |
