Is a sleeved side by side with bores measuring 0.672 way out of tolerance for overbored 16ga gun.
It is a sleeved side by side. The minimum wall thickness is 0.039 and the gun weighs 6lb 3oz. I suspect they bored it out after sleeving to lighten the barrels and balance the gun. |

I think if your MWT is good , your safe and should shoot really well with plastic wadding.
I have an old SXS that is bored .675 and shoots C&F wad loads just fine |

You've basically got new barrels and the diameter on new barrels is up to the maker, provided there is sufficient wall thickness (and as fn16ga says, .039" minimum should be more than sufficient).
In the old days your barrels would have been stamped 16/1 by a German or English proof house, meaning bore diameter between .669"-.676" and nobody would have given the barrels a second thought.
So no, the bores at .672" with .039" minimum wall thickness are not out of tolerance at all for a 16ga gun. |

I back bore 16ga barrels to .670 which I find patterns #6 shot the best. The gun you have there should be just fine. do you know the chamber length? |

My Remington 1100 and 31 run .670-672 IIRC. Only issue is the downrange wads are a bit "poofy" with 3/4 oz. Work fine out of my M12's, which are .662. |

I will not have it in hand for several months as the import process from the UK takes awhile |
