I recently bought a Remington 11 Sportsman 16 Gauge. My last experience with the A5 design was several years ago and I cannot quite remember whether the guns run better wet, dry or damp, particularly in the area of the recoil spring and friction rings.
I am about to give it a thorough cleaning before my first trip to the range and want my shooting ability to be the only handicap. Any advice? |

Buford, also remember to try using the heavy setting on the friction rings first. if it doesn't run reliably, try a little more oil on the magazine tube. If still not reliable, then switch to light setting. Doing so will give you and the gun the least recoil possible. Congrats on your purchase and we always appreciate pictures! |

Thanks, all. Once I have her slicked up I'll post a group picture of her with her sorority sisters. |
