One of the M-37s I have is a 12 ga from 1953 (according to serial #) 519348 -2
Another is a 16 ga from 1954 serial # 559542 - 4
The 12 ga has checkering on the butt stock, the 16 does not.
What / or is there any significance to the -2 or -4 at the end of the serial number? |

it must be the same as barrel sn.
If nt have headspace checked.
Prior to 855,000 SN, the barre were matched specifically to the receivers. |
