I have been using a couple of the Vectan powders for 16ga loads this year but have not been able to find any data on using with the DR16 wads. I have been loading International with the DR16 wads and it works great but I am sure a load can be made with A1 or AS for 7/8oz loads. I would appreciate any info from the forum before I have to spend the money to get some loads tested. |

I use 15grns GM3 with a Rio primer in any euro case for the 7/8 oz load this is not a tested load. |

Go to the Graf's website and look for data and/or go to the Vectan website and use their data.
IMHO, I wouldn't get too wrapped up about which wad/primer you are using as 7/8 oz. loads need to really be pushed in a 16 gauge to get them to register close to 11,500 PSI, unless you are using some of the faster powders, which you aren't. If you are using powders that are similar to American Select, Green Dot, and International keep the velocity below 1300 FPS and the pressure will fall in line. The DR-16 wad does not build excessive pressure. |
