I see the site has been updated recently but the list of good reads is missing. I'm halfway done with grouse feathers and its been keeping me busy in August. I'd like to see the old list so I can find my next read.

Are you looking just for the list or ideas?

If ideas then More Grouse Feathers might fit the bill. If you want something more recent try Wingbeats and Heartbeats by Dave Books. It is a collection of short essays by the author.

If you want another classic try New England Grouse Shooting by W.H. Foster.

Good Hunting,
Mike

One book not on that list is The Upland Shooting LIfe by George Bird Evans. https://www.amazon.com/Upland-Shooting-Life-1st/dp/0394472950

More hunting stuff: Eastern Upland Shooting, by Dr. Charles C. Norris, and the amazing Wildfowling in Dakota -- 1873 - 1903, by Duebbert.

The list on the 16 Ga. Society site/page seems to be almost exclusively about upland hunting, but if you want stuff on guns, and shooting, there is always Brister's Shotgunning: The Art and Science, Gough Thomas Garwood's stuff, any books by Michael McIntosh, especially the "Technicana" books he co-wrote with David Trevallion, Burrard's The Modern Shotgun, and W. W. Greener's The Gun and Its Development[/u]

den,
All the sports books by Burt Spiller are classics and well worth reading, I also recommend John Alden Knight's Woodcock and Grouse Books.

GBE's books are great also!

Happy reading sir.

RGD/Dave
