What diameter 1/8" card filler fits the sp-16 wad? I have seen on the 16 ga load site both 20 ga and 28 ga cards used in the base of wads. I used Skeet's 2 1/2 paper load in cheddite paper hulls, and it worked well in trap. I was using the rp-16 wad, but I am out of them now. In the cheddite paper hull the sp-16 does not stack up correctly with the 7/8oz lead shot. Thanks, stan |

The best fit in an SP-16 is a 28 ga. nitro card (.125" - .135"). Precision Reloading and BPI both have them.
A 24 gauge nitro card will work in other 16 ga. plastic wads. But the 4 ribs in the Remington SP-16 make it a tight fit. |
