Well friends, it looks like the Lefever DS 16 ga. is a keeper. It's light, quick, and comfortable to shoot. More importantly, I can hit with it. I opened my season with Lefever in hand, starting with doves in the morning and heading up to 9,000' for blue grouse in the afternoon; an annual tradition for me.

Dove numbers are pretty sad here but I have walked up enough of them when I tried and yesterday's shoot involved using the old ladder to put decoys up high enough in a dead tree to get the job done, so all is well.

How high or low blue grouse numbers are remains to be seen since the birds are scattered at different elevations this time of year. By October most will be concentrated near timberline and the real story will be evident.

Anyway, the Lefever really is something to swing. Dare I say it, I may like it better than my Fox! Tough to say for sure, I really like that gun.

First you need to upload pictures to a host. Your Internet Provider will probably allow space to do this. Then click on the image button above, then enter the WWW address, then click on the IMG button again.
For example my pics are hosted at http://www.ziznet.com/fishermn/pictures. The address for the pic is http://www.ziznet.com.fishermn/pictures/hollie_1.jpg. So to post picture I click on the img button Now that wont show a picture because the sentence of information isn't an address But here it is all correct

Unfortunately jpg does not operate in that manner any more.

skeettx,
Looks like jpg changed format on us and we will need to use a different host to post picture images direct.

Really is to bad that both 16a and the SSBB can not upgrade to be like the O Gauge Railroad Forum and have the ability to post pictures direct from our own computers with the great security package!

I upload photo to jpgbox, click on the size option I want, when that updates I click and drag over the img code (highlight it in blue) then select "copy". Then I come back over here to 16ga.com and click the Img box. When the brackets with "Img" pop up at the bottom of the post, I place the cursor between the brackets and right click. When the options show, I select "paste" by clicking on that option. The code appears in between the brackets and I move on to either the next photo or finish my post.

The desk? It was discarded years ago down by the creek I was hunting, probably by the same kids who built the tree forts. Anyway, it was there and served as a handy cleaning table and photo prop.

Thanks again for sharing with us , WJ.

This gun is living the good life again. The craftsmen's efforts were not in vain.
