Very interesting breed. Any pics? I've got some of that load but haven't used any. What kind of yardage was the shot? Did it seem like you had shot the bird with an equivalent lead load? Choke used?

I have used Rio Bismuth and last two years the Kent Bismuth in both 12 and 16ga and I have no complaints, haven't lost a bird yet (due to the shot). It kills well, and although I would prefer NiceShot or tungsten matrix, in the field, I see no difference.

I shot that bird at probably 30 yards, He was dead when he hit the ground, good penetration, When I cleaned the bird, some shot that went into his back went in, wasn't sitting on just inside the skin, broke his wing too. Going straight away and sometimes that is not always the best as all you get is the back.

Mayzee got into some quail today, did good job, great retrieves/dead bird finding.
She is sleepy right now.

I have always struggled trying to post photos on this site, so didn't post it.
