For those that don’t read shotgunworld, Heard back today from Trulock that their 16 ga Browning DS chokes will be available for purchase in all standard restrictions (cly-turkey) on December 11th.
Have not been impressed with the patterns from my factory IC or Full chokes. |

If you send a choke with a thread pattern to jebbs or big dawg outfitters that ya want they can make you some chokes. Probably others like briley too |

I had Briley make me a set of chokes for a Zabala made 16 ga TriStar Brittany. Gander Mountain had lost the chokes somewhere and had discounted the gun. I had the mod and full only and Briley did a great job on filling in the Sk on up for a full set. |

Thanks charlie.
I’ve been happy with the factory chokes that I’ve shot, but may snag a few if he has the extended ones available.
Wish they would have been out for the Black Friday sale! |

Has anyone been able to order these? I can’t seem to find them on the website, not sure if I’m fat-fingering something or if the site just hasn’t updated yet. Not urgent so don’t want to bother them with phone calls. |

Mr. Trulock recently said if you called they had them, but like you, I’ve been waiting on the web update. |

Just wanted to share an update. I called Trulock Chokes today to order some chokes and asked the gentleman about a turkey choke for the new Browning A5 models (since the current offering is cly - xfull). He told me that it is their plan to offer the turkey constrictions by next spring. He also mentioned he was George, so I took the opportunity to thank him for offering chokes to our little band of outcast. |

Have any of you gentlemen contacted Jebs regarding a price for a custom cut choke? I have finally got my A5 after nearly 3 years waiting and would be keen on some aftermarket tubes. How are the trulock tubes performing? |

Trulocks performed just like the original Browning tubes did in my Citori.......terrible. Virtually no difference between I/C and Modified. |

Sad to hear dog’s experience was not better, but I did find in the invector models the light mod, turkey, and improved mod welcome additions with most ammunition I use. The improved cylinder and skeet less so. (At least in my BPS).
I saw what I would call a marginal improvement with my citori.
While I just received my DS invector chokes for the A5 I have yet to pattern test them. It would be hard pressed not to do better than the poor performance I have gotten from the factory mod choke though. |

Charle 16,
Riflemeister is absolutely correct I have a L.C. Smith Zabala made 28 Gauge Double Gun, that only came with 3 screw in chokes. Briley supplied all the rest of the chokes for me, and I now have a complete set also. Great stuff from Briley.
Further using SpredR and B&P with these chokes makes the 28 a serious bird gun.

Being as I had little to do this weekend, I contacted a number of choke manufacturers regarding aftermarket DS chokes.
Kicks say they will definitely produce some in the near future.
Patternmaster have no plans to.
Carlson have no plans to.
Mueller,no response as yet.
Jebs are considering it, but it will be at least 2 years if at all. They say the 20g is too popular.
Trulock are the only ones currently in production.
I'm going to do some begging at Terror chokes, see if I can get a set like it have for my BPS16. |
