I came across some E3 powder and remember a topic where someone had made up a load with it. I used the search feature and cant find the thread. Anyone have any 16ga E3 recipes they'd like to share?

Any info appreciated, thanks...

That's the thread I was looking for, the search feature couldn't locate it. Thanks for sharing your load development/data on these GD & E3 loads, much appreciated!

You're welcome!

Just a heads up on E3.
I really liked E3 and touted it heavily to my sporting clays friends for 7/8 12ga loads. Over the course of a year or so, we discovered metering issues (occasional very light drops) and many discussions followed. The consensus was that it would clump if left in the bottle very long. In the meantime, Alliant introduced Xtralite; a bit faster burning with an extra 1000-1500 psi for the same velocity in a 7/8 12ga load. I liked that, since the pressures with E3 were lower than my liking. I switched and Xtralite is my go-to for lite 12ga loads. I feel Xtralite is way too fast for the 16 and I never pursued it.

I believe the E3 issues went away; haven't heard any negatives in several years, but OTOH I don't know anybody using it these days.

Just be on the lookout for variable drops. The good news is you can't drop too much, only too little. So it cold be annoying, but not unsafe.

10-4, appreciate the heads-up.

Aside; in doing a little homework on it, I've found some pistol re-loaders are having success with it. A bene since I'm dipping my toe in the shallow end of the pistol shooting/reloading pool.

Again, many thanks!
