Our 28th Annual Traditional Archery Pheasant hunt is in the books.
Miles of smiles and lots of YUK YUKs

As usual, I mmmmmissed my fair share of birds, however, one of my pals scored on a nice rooster.

Here is a link to an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

I am a fanatic Bowhunter and have been for 41 years. Never tried pheasants, don’t need any more humbling.

I remember shooting five gallon bucket lids, tossed broadside at close range, with my buddy back in our teens. That was very challenging. Pheasants were, and still are, well beyond our skill level. I salute those who can.

I've always wanted to try that with my longbow. The release site I go to would be ideal for that. I should sacrifice a day of harvest for a day of cool memories and some swear words... Cool Laughing

These photos are stunning. I'm positive that if I attempted this, I would be eating a whole bunch of humble pie.
