The Lyman, Alliant and Hogdon data is good. I have some older powder company booklets too. I have a few spreadsheets for Green Dot and 700-X as well. I think I either copied them here or at the U.K groups. Search the Ammunition and reloading section here, there is a lot of info.

I'm pretty new to the gauge myself. My experience was similar to yours. I hunted with a Citori for most of the season last year. I then bought another 16. I would love a 525 in 16 gauge. Mine is a gran lightning but I have a 525 feather in 12 ga that has been my favorite bird gun/NSTRA gun for quite some time.

Enjoy

Thanks! It's good to be with like-minded people. I usually stay away from forums these days. But shooting a 16 gauge can be lonely. Laughing

I hear you. This is the only forum that I have been active on for several years now. I almost went over to Shotgun World the other day then remembered things like Randy Wakeman, social media style arguments, and mass confusion. Since I had already checked in here, I turned the computer off and grabbed some reading material. Cool

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear the best gauge has found it’s way into your gun cabinet.

Good Hunting,
Mike
