It sure sounds like a good time, but I could never give up a hunting weekend in October. That said, all long distance shoots will have to wait until I'm retired anyway.

based on years of other successful meets, having prizes for 1st, 2nd and the 50yd match makes winning just that much more fun.
what we do is suggest prizes for not only scores, but the turkey shoots. because we dont have any way of freezing turkeys, we give other types of turkey shoot prizes.....
below is what seems to work pretty well......

===============================

lets keep it around 5-10.00 per item. lets get some commitment names next to these prizes. who will man up? pm me:

********************
box of .22 ammo =

clay tosser =

1 apple pie =

*********************
folding knife =

dozen mixed donuts =

gift certificate @ WALMART =

*********************
shooting glasses =

cookie tray =

hoppes cleaner =

*********************
shooting gloves =

ammo pouch =

cake =

*********************

the more that come, the more squads we add. we have 5 shooting points per squad.

As an added attraction to get people to come enjoy the shoot I will donate a case of Remington Game loads that I purchased recently. Ten boxes of good hulls loaded with 71/2 shot.
If we still don't get enough people for a 16ga shoot then I will just have to use them myself. Crying or Very sad
