Acquired last year a, SW16, equipped with two bulges and he mule portion of the barrel, in a bent section deviated.
I have contact barrel smiths and they decline to try anything.
I have bought two other barrel for getting operational.
Would a barrel shortening and adding a decent poly-choke attached to the duplicate a 1950's are A5?. What do you recommend?
Txs.

A bend can be re-bent . Bulges MAY be un-bulged . Poly choke co no longer exists , however , there is a guy on GB that has poly chokes , complete with both sections . You would have to locate a smith or machine guy that can get your barrel to .750 and solder on the part that attaches to the barrel . Even if the installation isn't perfectly aligned , you can bend the barrel to POI . (check out my old "high overheads thread - that barrel had a 30degree bend in it !) |

It’s your money, but if I had other barrels in hand, I’d not spend a dime taking bends and bulges out of a barrel, and putting a poly choke on said barrel.[/u] |

Cut 'er off and sell it as a street sweeper, then buy a better one. |

Am I missing something? Look for another barrel on EBay or gun broker. Confirm we are talking about an Auto 5 correct? I have purchased a barrel for a Model 11, there were plenty. If you have a Browning you need a Browning barrel. |

Agree with the cleanup option, provided you've got enough barrel left for it to be useful and you want a straight cylinder choke. Might be cheaper to find a barrel with a Poly already aboard and sell the damaged one for someone's project. |
