Was looking through a new Cabelas shooting catalog that came in the mail today and they have a CZ-USA Teal over/under shotgun for sale in 16 gauge. Comes with 5 choke tubes, 28" barrels and sells for $850! Shocked Very Happy The ad said it was a Cabelas exclusive.

Nice to see another new 16ga available.

I picked up a DeHaan Huglu 16 ga from one of the members on here a while back and it has been a real nice gun, The Cabela's gun is the first 16 ga from Huglu with screw in chokes that I'm aware of. Should be a decent gun for the price.

I have a 16ga Ringneck sxs and it is a good gun. When I looked on the CZ-USA sight recently i didn't see any 16ga guns being offered. I am glad to hear the news.

Thanks for the heads-up. Care to share a link to info regarding the Teal guns? Maybe catalog only?? I looked on Cabelas and CZ sites + a general google search and couldn't find any info about the current 16ga Teal gun.

I called Cabelas Canada, and it doesn't appear that they ever had the CZ "Teal" in stock!?

I wonder if it ever really existed inn 16bore? Has anyone actually had one in their hands? Or is it a product of confusing configuration charts?

Going OT here, but I picked up a new early CZ Bobwhite in 28 ga some years back, an EXCELLENT light wand of a gun, then at the price of a couple used tires when CZ was trying to break into the US market.

BUT the triggers are WAAAY to heavy, where can one send it for adjustment at reasonable cost?

TIA,

B.

PS, Yes, maybe its not such a great gun if the trigger pull is so extreme.

I sent my 28ga bobwhite with heavy triggers to Dehaan Shotguns. Now they are perfect and crisp.

Thank you but according to their website, Mark retired at the end of last year and they ceased gunsmithing services.

Sorry for the false hope, i was unaware.

I dont have any other leads, but i will say again, i was very pleased with the work that he did on my gun. It is a 26"bbl bobwhite with alloy receiver and straight stock. A very nice quail and woodcock gun for me, at least. I do wish i had went with the 28" bbla, but i wanted something fast for the WC woods
