All my hunting ammo is made with new primed hulls and the Mec just doesnt cut it there. The PW crimp set up is the best for any hull.because the entire hull is in a die when the crimp is applied. I used to load 10 ga goose loads of Luballoy BB's on a Versa Mec 700 and I had to fashion a metal skirt to keep the crimper from bulging the shell at the bottom above the brass. When the PW Magnomatic 10 came out I bought it in a heart beat. after that my Ithaca Mag 10 never jammed again. And all this fun on a wage of $200.00 a week , before taxes. |

Now that the deep snow of late winter has set in, I'm revisiting this thread and taking the advice of many. I'm looking to find a lightly use MEC Sizemaster in 16 and/or a short kit if possible. Time to make use of the stockpile of empty hulls.
Interestingly, I've been working on the bench space in my basement in prep for the reloading equipment and my son who is soon to be 7 has taken a peculiar interest in the process, watching videos about it. He thinks it's kind of like a science experiment and I suppose he's right.
If anyone has any leads, please PM me.
