Very Nice. Years ago when I owned my gun shop I was a Leonard dealer. Had a few Panes, but mine were mostly less expensive Orvis Tonkin Cane Rods.

it would be pretty cool to make my own blank , now retired .... around 1970ish , Ron Kusse worked with my buddies at a sewing shop . Went to Leonard from there and eventually broke out into his own line . Had only minor contact with him , and always wished I had gotten a blank . Even when he had talked retirement , he said he still had 7-10yrs worth of backorders still to fill !! (mostly Japanese !) |

Gentlemen,
I have many very expensive Bamboo Fly Rods made by the master builders, everything form 3 WGT F.E. Thomas to Leonard Salmon Rods, were passed down to me and I Fly Fish with them every season. No better equipment was ever made and probably never will be.
i historically restored the Bamboo Fly Rods for many years! For owners all over the world, I owned Pine Creek Rod Restoration until I closed up the business in 2000.
