I'm looking for a 16Ga. hand priming tool. Please don't say eBay..... it's a pain in the back side to set up an account there.

To insure, is this what you want??

The below item is for brass hulls and large pistol primers

yes, that is what I wound like. I find it a little unnerving pounding a primer in with a hammer in brass hulls....

If you have a MEC reloader (in any gauge) for paper shells, they make an adaptor for use with large pistol primers that works nicely for repriming brass hulls.

I don't think the adaptor is listed on the MEC website , you may have to call their parts department number. They were very helpful when I got mine about a year ago.

It is just a replacement for the regular shotgun primer station that allows the MEC reloader (I have a 600 Jr) to seat the smaller primer. The parts you need are:

1-326B cup
1-330 spring
1-331N pad

IIRC, it cost me about $20 with the shipping. It does a very good job, the vintage pliers type priming tools work, but they tend to put a dent the primers.

Maybe we could lobby RCBS to make a run of their cowboy dies in 16ga...
