Belgium 16 gauge shotgun with 65mm chambers, nitro proofed, 284.6 pressure, and maybe pre 1924? Anything look out of the ordinary? Auction is Saturday a couple hours away. Not sure I want to drive up to look at this. Will try and get a maker. The description says, "German shotgun".

It may be German with Belgium proofs. It is proofed for nitro powder.

That's a nice gun, and would put any nitro special to shame. I've had a couple belgian boxlocks like that, and they are great shooters. Lively barrels, and the straight stock, nice wood is a winner. Go for it.
