Had a table last weekend at a gun show.
Traded some (139) old 6.5mm jacketed bullets for these

Just looking at those hurts my shoulder. What gun are you shooting those through, hopefully a heavy one. I have a couple boxes of 1 1/4 oz 4's and 2's that I have never figured out what to do with them. The only gun I have that I would shoot them thru is my Ithaca NID 4E 16 that weighs 6 3/4 lb. Good find, though. |

Texas must have some tough wild pigeons- In Wa St when lead was legal, those would have been used for Canada Honkers. |

Well you can not shoot anything larger than 7 1/2 at the trap/skeet/clays fields.
And being 72 and most heavy walking a thing of the past and non-tox needed for waterfowl.
I have been shooting 4s & 6s at wild pigeons just to use up my cases and cases of ammo.
With the Rem 1100 and the 3200 recoil is not an issue.

That’s a good one, I just might borrow it when I want to have some fun but need to make it sound like work.

Mike, as I mentioned on another forum this week, shooting SxS’s my equally aged cervical spine responds to recoil by numbing my trigger finger hand. Just looking at those loads starts the reaction.
But they do bring a smile and some good memories. |

I made my first gun show in about a year and a half. Mostly interested in seeing if vendors were stocking any shotgun shells or reloading supplies, and if they were price gouging due to the current shortages. Very few shotgun shells seen, but quite a few rifle shells available, some at pre-shortage prices, some much higher depending on vendor. Saw one lot of about a dozen 1 lb. bottles of Bullseye at $37 a pound (not bad) and one brick of rifle primers at $80 (bad!). Guns were at "normal" or inflated prices depending on vendor. For example, I saw Rem 1100s in good/very good condition for $500-1000 at some vendors, but $2500-3000 at others, including 16 gauges. Most M12s were in the $500-750 range, so not much change there.
Did manage to find one prize on the trip. A box of Dove and Quail 16 gauge CF hulls in like-new condition to add to my stash. $8. I don't need anymore, but I ain't passing up that deal. Yee Haw!
