Anyone have a 1 oz load going 1,220 -1250 useing IMR 4756 powder, R16 wad, and a win primer. The IMR load data I have, have loads in the 1,150 fps range. I need a little faster hunting load. |

I have a hunting load I really like with 4756. It uses a cheddite hull,26.6 gr 4756, SG 16 wad(BP),cheddite primer,1 oz. #7 WCM shot,1300 FPS 8100 pressure. Very nice load. |

Not trying to be a smart arse, but how do you know the PSI of this load?
8100 PSI seems kinda low for 26.6 grs. Just wondering if you had this tested, or if your going by BP's specs?
I'm sorry. I was thinking of SR-7625 powder.
Still like to verify your data, in case I want to use this load.
Thanks, Dave |

I think I first saw it in BP's manual. And also Will Pennington's spread sheet posted on the 16 gauge loading groups page. I choose it because of the velocity and pressure. However I have not sent shells out to be tested. I have shot 400 to 500 rounds of it. |

Are you by any chance shooting this in a Damascus gun? |

No sir mostly my Citori and Merkel. I use it to hunt in my Fox and LC both steel barrels. I checked my notes and it is 26 gr. There is a load up to 27.7 gr with a Z16 wad and pressure is supposed to be 8250 psi.My bushing drops 25.8 gr I thought that was close enough. |

That load is out of Ballistic Product's 5th edition of their 16 Gauge Manual.
