Ok fellas,
One of my current customers happens to be a Case knife distributor. I mentioned to him about the previous 16ga Case Knife that was run for us here some time back. He said as long as he knew the quantity, he can get us some prices.

Who's interested? And what pattern would you like....I'm all for a Slimline Trapper or Mini Trapper, next would be a Medium Stockman, and would consider a RussLock or CopperLock.

Let's see what we can do!

I like the idea, but 16ga is a registered trademark and we would need the permission of the owners to do this. We might be able to approach the person who oversees the sight to get his insight. He may know if the owners would agree to a run of the knifes.

The idea was brought up awhile back and it never materialized, but I don’t know what prevented it from going forward.

Good Hunting,
Mike

I believe 16ga.com is copyrighted, but 16 Gauge, 16 Ga or 16 ga aren’t.

If you are suggesting we can sneak around the families trademark by leaving a space or using a capital letter that doesn’t pass the smell test, at least for me. These folks have done a very good thing for all of us that visit this site. Let’s show a little respect and contact them with the request.

Good Hunting,
Mike

As to the above posts mentioning copyright etc...

I fully appreciate the proper channels, so I will see what I can accomplish.

MORE IMPORTANTLY.... I'm thinking it should say '16ga Society' or something along those lines, as in the style of the (hopefully) trademarked logo on the site etc.

Thoughts from members on the logo style on the knife blade? Or perhaps we should have "16ga." engraved on the bolsters?

Welcome to all input. Still formulating....

To clarify my previous post,
I fully intend to follow up on gaining permission etc from S-Long (or whoever he directs me to).
I have a plan here and I am fully aware of trademarks and copyright laws, issues responsibilities and permissions. I do not intend to finalize anything with out permission.

HOWEVER...

I need some feedback on opinions regarding the "look" and pattern of the knife..

Once I have this information, I intend to present it to S-Long (or his selected proper channels) for final approval. This is fully my responsibility so let's keep that clear and in the open.

Thanks guys! And let's hear some ideas!

The original knife was engraved on the blade and read:
16ga
Society

I tried to load the image but the file was too large. It was a gut hook knife with a burnt amber bone handle. You mentioned several other knife selections and a different one this time around might make sense, maybe keep the same handle theme. Why don’t you check with s_long and if you get a go ahead post a couple of images of the ones you like. I would take another nice pocket knife, especially one engraved 16ga Society.

Thanks for your efforts and I will fire off the image to Skeetx and see if he can post the image for you. Maybe you have it.

Good Hunting,
Mike
