It's been about 6 months since we first heard about the Federal 7/8 oz high velocity load.
I have yet to see one, either in a store or on a website. Have checked Grafs, Midsouth, Natchez.
The load doesn't even appear on the Fed website.
What gives??

The few boxes I bought, I found at a Sportsman's Warehouse last spring. Someone commented that Federal made up a bunch for Wal-Mart, I believe, but Wally didn't take all of them. Might've been a short production run. |

Pete,
When Larry showed up at the Flatwater Shot with those last April, I immediately checked with Federal after I got home.
I never did find out exctly how those originally were ordered, but Federal did make them up for Wal-Mart prior to the 2005 dove season.
As near as my Federal contact could tell, they made up 250,000 rounds (2500 flats) for shipment to Wal-Mart.
There are no plans to make any more and the two Federal reps I talked to were even surprised that Federal made such a 'small' special run.
One did hazard the guess that we have a 16 Gauge shooter lurking in the corporate hiarchy of Wal-Mart.
Hope this helps.
Terry

More than likely, someone at Wallyworld told Federal, you will make these loads for us or we won't carry your ammo anymore. |

Drew,
Been trying for 3 years. No luck. Still have some interest from Fiocchi and Wolf though and am still working on them.
