My nephew and I took five nice roosters on TG day; I took two with my 16ga Sterlingworth. Woke to intermittent rain - heavy at times - on Friday so my old Stevens 5100 16 came out. Yeah, it's a bit heavier (but not much) and yeah, it's a little crude compared to the Fox, but it felt good - solid, familiar, reliable. It was too warm to stay frozen and got really sloppy; we packed it in at noon. Each knocked one down but lost both Crying or Very sad . I hope the old gun enjoyed being out; I enjoyed carrying it!

I have th he same gun in 16 gauge too.

It is my favorite gun for both upland and waterfowl.

I have the 5100 in 12-16-20-.410 . The 20ga came with 2 sets of barrels- 26" cyl and impcyl- 30"is mod and full. I hunt rabbit, quail, and doves. All of these are useful guns for what I hunt. I have used them in all weathers as they were meant to be used. I have more expensive double guns, but the rabbits and the birds end up just as dead with these.
