| Took the "Wee Jeff" on an outing ....Left the house at 9:30ish got back at a little before 2:00 With 13 doves and a carton of ice cream...17 cartridges for the doves and 4.97 for the ice cream.....99 degrees when I quit....Stay Well All |

I finally got around to dove hunting back home in west central Wyoming on Tuesday. Our dove hunting this year is grim at best. My shooting average was not as good as yours and I had to walk and stalk the tree tops (interesting and challenging shots to say the least) for about 5 hours to bring home 15 birds. I only saw about 40. Looks like it's back to grouse!
I envy those of you who have truly good dove hunting. We only get a half way decent season here about once every 5 years and a truly decent one where a fellow can sit on a bucket and have enough flight activity to decoy the gray bullets once every 10 years. Frustrating. I really love hunting them. Nice work with the Wee Jeff! |
