Anyone have an update on when Downrange will get the new roof on and be back in business? I can’t get Kevin to answer the phone or return a call. I did find a secret stash of DR16’s (literally, they were stuffed back up under a shelf in a local shop) so I bought myself some time but they’re not going to last forever. |

No idea.
How many do you have?
How long will they last for you?
How close are you to Amarillo Texas?

There were a couple of bags for sale on gunbroker, but I haven't looked there in awhile.
Yep just took a peak and they are still there! |

My local shop in Parsons, Kansas has a few bags of DR16 wads on the shelf. He is selling all items in the store at reduced prices since he is closing up the store at the end of the year,

Thanks, Bryon, for the “intel” on the DR16’s at your local shop and thanks to skeettx and fn16ga for the kind offers to share during this time of shortage while Downrange is getting back up and running (I hope). It’s gratifying and again, to me, an indication of the fine character of this 16ga fraternity. Thank you all.
Bryon, with my “find” a few weeks ago, I’m good for awhile so rather than call and buy those DR16’s and just hoard them, I’m going to leave them there for awhile for others of the group that are out and need some now. So call and get’em fellows while they’re available. (I will make a note on my calendar to call before the end of the year to see if any are left.)
Thanks again to you all and good shooting. |

There was a pretty severe hailstorm in the Hastings, NE area this summer. Baseball-sized hail. One of my brothers lives there and lost his roof as well as his newish car getting trashed. The thing is, the damage was spotty across that area with people only a couple blocks away being fine. He's still in line for getting his roof redone - all the roofers are very busy - and still negotiating with the insurance company over the car.
If Downrange lost their roof, it'll get fixed when it gets fixed, I guess.

update, 10/16: the autobody guy says getting around to getting his car fixed (it's mostly cosmetic damage) will take "many months" given the number of people with similar problems. |

Byron, thanks again for alerting me to the DR16’s at the Parsons, KS, shop. I did as I said and left them there for the guys who were completely out and then waited until closer to Christmas to call and see if any were left. They’re all gone so hope that means others who were out got them. I appreciate your kindness. Merry Christmas. |

One of these days , mum is the word on the surprise when the next batch comes out .
I need 3 cases to start shooting practice.

Great news Nick! I've never actually tried them yet, but would definitely like to. I've been loading 1oz in 2.5" cheddite hulls using 19gr Longshot and Z16's, but would like to go down to 7/8oz or 3/4oz with a different powder. Sounds like DR's would be just the ticket for that? |
