Now that I live in Portland, I went to the Oregon Coast yesterday for the first time. Sorry this isn't a 16, this is my Lefever "tournament" GE 12. I don't have a 16 set up for ducks (my Lefever thumb push 16 has open chokes), but I'm working on that.

Not exactly a hunting photo, but I ran my three GSP's in a field trial yesterday. One of the trial club members is a fantastic photographer and rode along with my judge for Rebel's brace and got a few action pictures. This one is a flush toward the judge that resulted in every participant calling "SAFETY" immediately, but not before snapping this awesome action photo of me, Rebel, and Mr Bob. 16 ga SXS made by Zabala was the gun of choice.

Was doing real good on the ducks and geese when it was cold and snowing.
Still enjoying my vacation.

That’s a fine looking GSP/DVH you’ve got there. Looks like he can get the job done, nice work for a nine month old pup! |

Great day and a fine looking GSP.
Mark, that truck bed looks very cozy. Mine's always a mess. |

It is clean because I had Christmas presents in there.
Don't let the Bedrug fool you it has had, 1,000 lbs. of sheet rock on it, sheet metal, duct work, tool boxes, all sorts of dirt and vegetation on it and muddy dogs/bird feathers. Just let it dry out and vacuum it off, when it really gets dirty you can hose it off.
I love it for sporting clays because it gives me a nice place to lay my gun and equipment down. I like it for the dogs because they don't slip and slide around on it. |

Here is May, with her first rooster since her encounter with a rabid raccoon. She was quarantined to our home for 45 days. She missed going to Nebraska this year. It was good getting her out in the field again. She is a bit put off because I made her sit and stay for the photo. She wanted to keep hunting.
Believe or not, May and Marty are cousin in-laws.....their Dad's are brothers from the same litter. May is 50 lbs. and Marty is 70 lbs. She runs like a gazelle, very graceful. He is like a bulldozer!! |
