I thought some here might be interested in a 16ga AYA. Looks to be a shooter and not sure on the model #, although I am sure someone here could identify it.

However, its a fair price and might also be a gun worth saving from the "torch". Of course it would get more sympathy if it were an LC or a Fox attempted to be saved, but still.

I'd be more sympathetic if the Spanish would quit putting those stupid-looking sling swivels on their shotguns. At least it doesn't have a cheek piece !

Uh, Doc... look at the high bidder for the gun perhaps?
That would be some of the intent of the post... |

Exactly, now we know where Ed1 picks up a few of his guns perhaps?
*sigh*...
Like fin though, I would be ALOT more sympathetic to this gun if it didn't have those silly swivels on it, or if they could be easily removed.
Hmm...

Aw c'mon guys. Don't be too quick to poo poo swivels.
If you've ever had to walk multiple miles back to the truck with 2, 3, or 4 pheasant, or a limit of ducks, or a turkey for that matter, the ability to pull a nylon sling out of a pocket and put that gun securely on your back has a definite appeal, IMHO.

I thought that's what gunbearers were for.
Seriously, I see the useful aspect. I just personally don't like the look. Swivels are for rifles...and only some of those (IMHO). |

Actually I bet that's EXACTLY what happens to this when ed1 gets his hands on it. Plus it will be all "restored" with a shiny receiver with fantastic case coloring and 100% barrels... I bet it emerges as a LNIB 4/53 AYA |

I've bid against Ed1 before, and I've watched him on a number of other auctions. As you would expect, he's not going to bid top dollar, or even close in most cases.
So if any of you are seriously interested in the gun, you can probably get it (assuming it's worth more than $300). |
