I'm looking into getting a new 16 guage and i was wondering what the best gun was for a reasonable price, under $800. If anyone has info or an opinion it would be appreciated. |

Oh boy, lots of opinions here... *GRIN*
Seriously, take a look at the threads that Rev linked for you and then come back and ask questions that didn't get answered.
Also, what were you intending on doing with the gun? Upland hunting? Clays? Grouse/Quail/Woodcock? Ducks?
Do you want a o/u? sxs? Auto? Pump?
Good luck with your search.

I would be doing mostly grouse, woodcock some pheasent and quail. Prefer o/u or semi auto. sxs would be ok, don't like pumps. |

I saw a pristine Ithaca 37 16GA at the shop I just bought my Sterlingworth at. They were asking $400.00 for it. They are my favorite non-double gun for upland birding. They are very light and point nice. I almost bought it myself and still may. I shoot model 37's extremely well for some reason. In fact I got my best trap scor ever with a 12GA model 37-go figure. I guess I just like light guns. |
