So would it be better if you had a controlled burn-off of the older sage?
I noticed in Idaho that a few years after a burn the birds were more numerous.
I have never taken one, myself. Shot at.........but never got one.
Big beasts. Probably why I missed it. Too slow and behind it because of the size and sight picture. Want to go back to Idaho for the hunting and fishing. Got my first quail there and my first Mule Deer and Blue Grouse.
Do you notice that they squawk and crap as they take-off? Never saw that in any other game bird. |
