Do these hulls work with the clay buster 7/8 ounce wad, and are the Herters hulls Federal or Cheddite? I have been reloading Remingtons, but I have acquired a quantity of Herters and Fiocchi's.

| My Herter hulls have the stars on the head, so I've been loading them like Cheddites. Not sure about the Claybuster wads. |

Herter's hulls are actually Cheddites.
The CB0078-16 wad will work in the Herters and Fiocchi hulls, but probably not for 7/8 oz. loads. Those wads would work better as 1 oz. wads for that application. The other possible issue using the Herters and Fiocchi hulls with the CB0078-16 wad is powder migration with finer grain powders.
A better wad for 7/8 oz. loads would be the DR-16 from DownRange. Hopefully they will start making them again soon. |

I have 1,450 DR-16 wads, I will use them in the Fiocchi, and Herters hulls, they do not work in the Remington hull with 7/8 ounce of shot.

| For 7/8 oz loads I use the CB0078-16 in Remington hulls, and the DR16 in Cheddite/Herter's/Federal hulls. |
