I purchased a remington m11 last year at estate sale and really enjoy shooting it. The stock was cut short on it and I was thinking about trying an aftermarket synthetic stock made for an A5. Do you think it would fit? All I can find are 12ga.
Also what A5 parts are interchangable? |

That'what I did with my M12, I like it because:
You don't have to cut the stock.
Plus if you are hunting on a really cold day and you're all bundled up you can pull the pad off and the pull is about the same. |

Hey there,
Browning Auto-5 stocks won't fit a Remington Model 11, the bottom tang is a different length and the bolt holes do not line up. Tried it myself some time back, just wasn't thinking straight when I bought it because I had already mesured it and knew they were different. There you go,

About the only item that swap out between the A5's and Model 11's are the recoil springs....

Were Model 11's all short-stocked? My farther-in-law shot one for years (a 12'er) and the stock always seemed way short. He had a pad on it; I was never sure whether the stock had been cut or not. Man, that baby kicked! |

I think the standard length wqas 14 1/4" For some shooters that's short, I find it ok on these guns. I have factory A5 stocks as short as 14" and they are a bit short till duck season rolls around, then they are perfect.
